No matter whether they con the viewers or how many conversions they bring to the advertisers, advertisements have always been the experience spoilers everywhere, especially on streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and more.

In a startling development in the respective sphere, Amazon Prime Video is going to see a hike in the number of ad spots over it.

Citing Financial Times, Android Police reported that Prime Video International vice president Kelly Day revealed plans to increase advertising spots on the platform

The multinational streaming platform is at the moment doing beyond what pleases users but is also one leg short of losing that reputation, and doing so could prove lethal or "platform decay", as put by Cory Doctorow.

The biggest validation of Amazon Prime Video respecting its user base is its fusing of streaming with free and fast shipping.

This facility is inevitably a good-ripen fruit at the right price for frequent online shoppers since it provides more than the Prime subscription cost. So technically the streaming is free on this platform.

Instead of feeling a bit of remorse and uncertainty, the vice president seemed fine with the ad uptick you might see soon on Amazon Prime Video by citing increased spending on sports league rights, election coverage, and music events.
