The renowned gaming studio Rockstar appears to have altered its official website, indicating a potential rebranding of its long-standing Rockstar Social Club ahead of the anticipated unveiling of Grand Theft Auto 6 in December.

Reports circulating from PC Gamer and vigilant Rockstar enthusiast @videotechuk_ suggest a significant overhaul as the company seemingly removes references to the Social Club branding. Observations made by the user highlighted a shift in the website content, indicating a transition from the familiar Social Club to the simpler designation of "Rockstar Games Platform."

Although Rockstar has yet to issue an official statement regarding these purported changes, remnants of the Social Club can still be found across their website, including the URL directing to the Social Club landing page. Functionality within the platform for players of titles such as GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 seems unchanged, allowing continued access to its features, at least for the time being.

Since its inception during the release of GTA 4, the Social Club has facilitated player interactions, enabling friend connections, group formations labelled as "Crews," and access to in-game statistics, leaderboards, and events. While the service gained prominence during the GTA V era, it has somewhat diminished in prominence, prompting Rockstar's potential revamp as they gear up for the much-anticipated GTA 6.
