AirPods Max 2: Here's what to expect

As Apple is gearing up for its fall event with the launch of the iPhone 16 series, and there is a lot of speculation in the tech world. The tech giant is likely to make an appearance of its eagerly awaited AirPods Max 2. 

The upcoming AirPods Max 2 might include several design upgrades and innovative features.

Here’s what to expect from AirPods Max 2

Integration of new chip

The AirPods Max 2 headphones are expected to feature a new chip, the H2 chip, similar to the one in AirPods Pro 2. The chip will include several powerful audio features that are found only on the Pro line including Adaptive Audio, which adjusts Transparency and Noise Cancellation modes, and Conversation Awareness which lowers the volume and isolates voices. 

USB-C charging

Apple is shifting all its products to universal port standards and therefore, AirPods Max 2 might also replace the existing Lightning port and adopt USB-C for charging. 

Colour variants of new AirPods Max 2

The AirPods Max 2 is expected to be available in new colour variants including Midnight and Starlight. However, the current models are available in five shades including Space Gray, Green, Pink, Silver, and Sky Blue. 

Smart case

Apple’s first AirPods Max was criticised a lot due to its original Smart Case and now there are speculations that Apple might introduce a new case design for the AirPods Max 2 and a more protective case could launch as an optional accessory, allowing owners of the AirPods Max to upgrade their cases.
