If you're a Pixel user, then it must have been saddening to know that the Android 15's OTA update hasn't yet arrived despite Google extending the new Android update to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) in early September.

The tech giant even mentioned that Android 15 will be rolled out in stable form in the coming weeks. While Google unwillingly disclosed that the Android 15 OTA will be released in October, a new rumour has now emerged to give a more precise release schedule for the latest Android update.

As per Android Police, Google is set to drop the stable Android 15 build for compatible Pixel devices on October 15. The aforesaid release schedule goes a little off track as Google has traditionally been releasing Android updates on Mondays, and the reported October 15 is falling on Tuesdays.

If comes to fruition, the release of Android 15 on the provided date will mark a historical delay in Android updates' releases as Android 15's stable build will have landed almost 45 days after its source code was shared on AOSP.

The report doesn't delve deep into details about the actual cause of the delayed release of Android 15's stable version to Pixel phones.

However, Android researcher Mishaal Rahman reported that efforts to quell bugs and improve the OS's stability will keep Google occupied for a bit longer, ensuring a better user experience.
