Google has just released another Android Auto update, its Android-based in-car infotainment system, and it rocks in a brand-new user interface (UI) for Google Assistant. This new design looks eerily similar to Apple's Siri on CarPlay.
The updated Google Assistant UI appears during voice interactions that would replace the traditional bottom bar.
It pops up when the Assistant is waiting for your response and suddenly disappears once your reply is processed. This new update offers the users a more sleek and modern design.
How it works
The new UI reacts when Assistant speaks, and in your reply, it makes the conversation significantly more interactive. However, some users might feel it's redundant since the bottom bar has much the same feature.
The updated UI would also make it easier to follow conversations with Assistant, as it provides a clear visual cue when it's waiting for your response.

The resemblance to Siri is uncanny, raising questions about Google's design inspiration. Android Auto's new UI should likely appeal to fans of Siri's design, but Google must differentiate its design language for its upcoming upgrades.
Availability of Siri-like Google Assistant UI
The new UI is now rolling out to all Android Auto users with version 12.5, live and would be available on selective devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The updated Google Assistant UI on Android Auto marks a shift towards a more conversational and interactive experience.
