Apple, in 2022, introduced Apple Account cards in the US with iOS 15.5. However, now the Wallet app card is expanding to other countries including Canada and Australia with iOS 17.6.
The Apple Account card in the Wallet app provides a quick look at your Apple Account balance. It can be used to pay for purchases on the App Store and at the Apple Store online.
Moreover, you can also use the card with a tap to pay at physical Apple Stores.

As reported by MacRumors, this card is now available in Canada and Australia; however, you need to have to be running at least iOS 17.6. Previously, this feature was only available in the US and Japan.
Before Apple Account Card, Apple also offered iTunes Pass but Apple Account Card is simpler than iTunes Pass as it allows users to make purchases using tap-to-pay at the Apple Store, without the need for an employee to scan a QR code.
How to enable Apple Account Card?
- Firstly, users in Australia and Canada need to ensure that their iPhone is updated to the latest iOS 17.6 version.
- Next, users have to tap the "+" button.
- Now choose the "Add Apple Account" Card in their Apple Wallet app.
It might not work for some immediately therefore, users need to make sure that they have a balance available on their Apple Account to create the card.
Although the Apple Account Card is not as universal compared to the Apple Card, this feature allows users to better manage their expenses and use tap-to-pay services found in Apple Stores.
