Apple has confirmed that the iOS 18.2 update will be available to all users in December, along with new Apple Intelligence features.

This development comes right after the launch of the iOS 18.1 update and Apple Intelligence on Monday (October 28) at the iMac Announcement event 2024.

iOS 18.2 launch date

“New Apple Intelligence features will be available in December, with additional capabilities rolling out in the coming months,” Apple announced on Monday.

Recently, the Cupertino-based tech giant also released the first developer beta of iOS 18.2, which includes a host of new Apple Intelligence features for developers to test. This means the new update is currently in the development phase.

While the exact launch date of iOS 18.2 is yet to be confirmed, if we look at recent years, Apple typically released the second iteration of the iOS update in December during the same timeframe.

  • iOS 17.2: December 11
  • iOS 16.2: December 13
  • iOS 15.2: December 13

If it follows the same pattern, iOS 18.2 will likely launch on December 9 or 10.
