Apple initially released the Vision Pro to great excitement, but now that the initial hype has settled, there is a slight expectation for more.

Vision Pro users were disappointed not to hear Apple discuss AI (artificial intelligence) integration at this year’s World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC).

However, users need not worry as Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that Apple plans to accelerate AI integration into the Vision Pro.

Currently, the company is facing challenges in integrating Apple Intelligence into the Vision Pro experience.

Gurman also mentions a potential change in the company’s in-store demonstrations. The addition of the “Go Deeper” option aims to make in-store demos more engaging by testing office features, watching videos, and using the dual-loop headband.

Reportedly, Apple will allow users to view their photos and videos to create a more personal experience with the device, which could be further enhanced by VisionOS 2’s “specialize” feature that converts 2D images into 3D.

Apple is expected to release a more affordable headset late next year, although it remains unclear where compromises will be made. Regardless, it seems the company is facing challenges in launching a cheaper version without significant compromises.

This situation might lead Apple to consider market segmentation, possibly keeping the Vision Pro for a niche market while pursuing its lightweight AR (augmented reality) glasses aspirations.
