Apple is gearing up to prepare the smart home, as a recently emerged leak has gained tremendous attention that the smart home device is likely to unveil in 2025.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has highlighted a few details regarding Apple’s future smart home device that are HomePod with a display.

Users would reportedly receive a lower-end smart display (codename J490), along with a high-end tech product featuring a robotic arm with an enlarged display (codename J595). It is important to note that both of these devices are expected to support Apple Intelligence which runs the latest operating system (OS).

Furthermore, homeOS would reportedly rely on tvOS and both of these platforms are likely to be combined, Gurman added.

The above-mentioned lower-end device is likely to be similar to the one which was reported by 9to5Mac earlier this week. It is expected to house an A18 chip for Apple Intelligence and run particular apps including Calendar, Notes, Home, and more, with an interface optimised to manipulate home applications.

Coming to the high-end tech device featuring a robotic arm, Gurman suggested that it is likely to cost almost $1,000.
