Apple is reportedly gearing up to bring additional vision-based products, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is likely to launch smart glasses, which will be reminiscent of Meta’s partnership with Ray-Ban, and AirPods along with a camera. However, these products are not expected to launch before 2027, if they do at all.

A report suggested that the Cupertino-based tech giant plans to recover some of their multi-billion dollar R&D investment under Apple Vision Pro’s visual intelligence. Even the company itself announced the visual intelligence of the iPhone 16’s camera control, and Apple is likely to introduce this into a glasses form factor.

However, the glasses wouldn’t be called full augmented reality (AR) smart glasses along with the display, but rather smart glasses with cameras, speakers, and integrated top-notch features, which is quite reminiscent of Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses, that rose to prominence in the very short time that only costs $299.

Besides that, Apple is currently planning AirPods with cameras, something that has been reported previously. It feels like AirPods would be a quite bad product for the backward camera, but the Cupertino-based tech giant is still experimenting with the form factor for visual intelligence specs.
