Apple is reported to enter the smart home camera market in 2026, as the Cupertino-based tech giant is apparently set to compete against third-party HomeKit cameras like the Eve Indoor Cam for the first time, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported.

Kuo said that the appeal of Apple’s camera will be rich integration with Siri and Apple Intelligence features. Apple is rumoured to be plotting a more serious attempt to crack the smart home space.

Kuo tipped mass production of Apple's smart home camera is scheduled to start in 2026, and the company apparently aims to sell tens of millions of them over the long term. He said the camera will have wireless connectivity, and deep integration with Apple Intelligence and Siri.

However, it’s unclear what unique functionality Apple could offer through a first-party camera, instead of continuing its integrations with other manufacturers through the Home app.

The new smart display will combine a HomePod-like speaker with a small squarish touchscreen for showing a visual user interface.

On the other hand, Apple is expected to be making a more enhanced display that will be hoisted on an articulated robotic arm.
