Apple has hinted that it will reveal an “upcoming” version of Final Cut Pro for the Mac. The Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to announce the update during the annual Final Cut Pro Creative Summit, which is set to begin on November 13.

Meanwhile, Apple already tipped four new features coming to Final Cut Pro for the Mac later this year.

In June's visionOS 2 press releases, Apple said an update to Final Cut Pro for the Mac will allow users to edit spatial videos recorded with devices like iPhone 15 Pro models, any iPhone 16 models, or the Canon EOS R7 mirrorless camera with a spatial video lens.

Moreover, in the Mac mini announcement, Apple announced that the Final Cut Pro update will allow users to instantly apply artificial intelligence (AI)-generated effects to videos.

This feature is said to be relatable to MotionVFX's mRotoAI plugin for Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve's Magic Mask feature.

Some of the features are expected to extend to an updated version of the Final Cut Pro app for iPad.
