The tech giant Apple has brought some fruitful changes to recent Apple Watch models. Among them, the biggest one that stands out from the rest is the capability of fast charging.

The enhancement enables users to fully pack their smart wearable quicker than ever before. But like any other tech-oriented technique or a workaround method, here exists a trade off too, meaning that you need certain stuff to exploit the extraordinary feature instilled inside Apple Watches.

Can Apple Watch get charged faster than before?

With the latest improvement integrated into the Apple Watches, the iPhone maker claims that the battery can be charged from 0-80% in about 45 minutes. The company has rolled out a support document reflecting on the insights of fast charging on the Apple Watch Series 7, Apple Watch Series 8, and Apple Watch Ultra.

What do you need to fast charge your Apple Watch?

The most urgent requirement is an Apple USB-C Magnetic Fast Charging Cable, which is preferable for the aluminum around the magnetic charger as opposed to plastic.

Although Apple includes one of these cables in the box with Apple Watch Series 7, Series 8, and Ultra, you can also purchase them separately to ensure all your charging spots support fast charging. The cable is 1m long and costs $29. When purchasing from a third party other than Apple or Amazon, make sure to get the A2515 model.

The second component needed is the power adapter that plugs into the wall. As part of its ongoing efforts to reduce its environmental impact, Apple no longer includes this power brick in the box. This means you'll need to use one you already have or purchase a new one.

Apple states that any USB-C power adapter supporting USB Power Delivery of 5W or higher is capable of fast charging the Apple Watch. Reputable brands like UGreen offer these adapters on Amazon for as little as $10.
