To establish itself as a potent player in the emerging satellite communication space, tech giant Apple is expected to revamp the communication department on the Apple Watch Ultra 3, its latest flagship wearable.
Citing Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, ProPakistani anticipated the integration of satellite communication capabilities by the iPhone maker.
The feature has existed since 2022 under the hood of the company's other flagship product lineup, the iPhone 14, enabling users to send emergency texts and contact roadside service providers in an urgency.
Apple Watch Ultra 3 features (expected)
Spurring euphoria among hawk-eyed Apple Watch enthusiasts, the publication reported that the Ultra 3 will introduce an even augmented version of the feature, stating that it will allow iMessage communication without requiring an iPhone, or even a WiFi or cellular connection.
On the sidelines of a satellite-assisted text messaging facility, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 might as well feature blood pressure monitoring.
While the launch of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 was reportedly derailed by delays, since it was slated to go live in 2023, Apple is still going to integrate it.
It was also reported that instead of displaying precise blood pressure readings, the feature would notify wearers of hypertension.
