During its address to the developer panel at the WWDC keynote here on Tuesday, Apple announced to offer a spate of new features on CarPlay, which it claims would evolve CarPlay in the future ahead.

As noted by TomsGuide, the extent of facilitation one would be able to rejoice, Apple said, would depend on the extent of new functionalities carmakers want to carry.

The more fascinating thing, which we believe would definitely not go unnoticed by enthusiasts, is that the display of CarPlay would now be made customisable in order to match the visual appeal and feel of every individual car, blurring the lines between vehicle's native components and installed add-ons.

To make things clear, this upgrade means that interior designers can come up with their own graphics and logos that are more aligned with their brand's overall look.

New apps on next generation of CarPlay

Thinks not of a pack of apps on Apple's CarPlay, as its home screen will bring buttons and shortcuts to control climate and temperature, respectively.

To blend with the interior of an individual car, the in-car service would also let drivers change the vehicle's built-in drive mode or assistance features, instead of displaying the content of an iPhone content in a different manner.
