AppleCare Plus is a premium warranty service, that gives enhanced benefits to iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac users. Recently, Apple extended the grace period for renewing AppleCare Plus coverage from 30 days to 45 days after expiration.

AppleCare Plus provides extra benefits, including free battery replacements, lower service fees for accidental damage, and more.

You can get extra benefits beyond the regular one-year warranty by purchasing AppleCare Plus. The flexible payment plans it comes with include month-to-month and yearlong plans for iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches, while for Macs, you pay year in and year out.

You can now extend your coverage up to 45 days from the date of expiration. This means that users have adequate time to restart their subscriptions.

AppleCare Plus benefits include:

  • Free battery replacements if the battery health drops below 80%
  • Lower repair fees for accidental damage
  • Priority support
  • Global repair coverage

However, Apple does not inform its users of the end of their coverage, unless such circumstances dictate that it must do so by law. Users can check their plan's expiration date in the Settings app.

The increased grace period gives users further time and flexibility in deciding against renewing coverage. This change would be very useful to users who forgot to renew coverage or need more time to evaluate their options.
