Apple’s long-rumoured upcoming Mac Mini device is expected to ditch the old, familiar USB-A port with the redesign, according to a report.
After the launch of the iPhone 16 series, at the “Glowtime” event scheduled for September 9, the tech giant is expected to begin debuting base Mac models including the M4 Mac mini, M4 iMac, and M4 Mac Pro till November.
According to a report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s upcoming Mac Mini equipped with the latest M4 chip might not include the traditional USB-A port.

Previously, Gurman also reported that the next Mac mini is expected to be the smallest and most powerful to date, and is set to hit stores by the end of 2024.
Reportedly, the Mac mini hasn’t been significantly redesigned since 2010, but Gurman revealed that it is changing this fall.
The new Mac Mini model will now include Apple’s new M4 chip, five USB-C ports (two in the front and three in the back), an Ethernet port, an HDMI connector, and a headphone jack.
Furthermore, in the updated version the power supply will continue to be internal which would be enough for a computer that’s expected to be about the size of an Apple TV.
