Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) is set to take a major step towards promoting electric vehicle (EV) adoption in Pakistan. The company unveiled the plans to expand its EV charging station across Pakistan.
This expansion aligns with the government’s efforts to fight climate change and transition towards sustainable transportation.
APL’s commitment to EV infrastructure is visible in their recent initiatives. They have already installed three 180KW fast EV charging systems at strategic locations.
The company focused on further expanding this network nationwide, making it simpler for EV owners to charge their vehicles. By boosting the availability of charging stations, APL is set to contribute to cleaner air and mitigating the impacts of climate change.
Expansion of EV charging stations in Pakistan
One of the significant areas of focus for APL is the expansion of their DC Fast Electric Vehicle Charging network along motorway service areas. This will be specifically beneficial for long-distance travellers, offering them convenient charging options.
Moreover, APL has successfully installed and commissioned EV charging facilities at Islamabad Club, Garrison Filling Station, and Hassan Petroleum.

Despite EV charging stations, APL is also searching for other sustainable initiatives. They plan to switch to On-Grid Solar Systems at their retail outlets and storage facilities, which is said to help reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to renewable energy generation.
In addition, APL is set to establish a liquified petroleum gas (LPG) storage and filling plant in Rawalpindi, which will improve the availability of liquefied petroleum gas in the region.
