ByteDance recently made an announcement to pull off its music streaming service — TikTok Music on 28 November — as it officially released a statement: “We are sorry to inform you that TikTok Music will be closing on November 28, 2024,” the service was previously accessible in Indonesia, Brazil, Australia, Singapore and Mexico.
The service has been corroborated to shut down on November 28, so users can continue enjoying the service before the shutdown. However, after the given date the renewals will be cancelled automatically.
Additionally, if any user wants to transfer their playlists to any other streaming services are required to do it by the end of October 28. while, the refund requests would be required to be submitted by November 28.

Music Business Development TikTok Global Head Ole Obermann stated: “Our Add to Music App feature has already enabled hundreds of millions of track saves to playlists on partner music streaming services. We will be closing TikTok Music at the end of November in order to focus on our goal of furthering TikTok’s role in driving even greater music listening and value on music streaming services, for the benefit of artists, songwriters, and the industry.”
Furthermore, TikTok will continue to collaborate with the music streaming services instead of competing with them. In the beginning of the year, TikTok released the “Add to Music” feature on TikTok that allows users to track directly to a playlist on Apple Music, Spotify, and more.
