Garmin has just launched the Instinct 3 smartwatch range at CES 2025, offering a rugged and affordable alternative to the Fenix 8.

The new line-up includes three watches, with the Instinct featuring an AMOLED display for the first time. It features various exceptional features for the users.

Garmin Instinct 3 new features and pricing

The Instinct 3 range includes a solar-charging model that offers potentially unlimited battery life and a more affordable option, the Instinct E, priced at $299.

However, the Instinct 3 Solar costs $399, while the Instinct 3 AMOLED is priced at $449. All three watches will be available to order from January 10.

Garmin Instinct 3 design and advanced technology

All models in the Instinct 3 range come with a built-in flashlight and are available in two sizes: 45mm and 50mm. The watches maintain the distinctive, rugged design of the Instinct series, with colours such as Neotropic and Electric Lime.

Moreover, a new metal bezel enhances durability, and the watches are tested to military standard MIL-STD 810 for thermal and shock resistance, offering 10 ATM water resistance.

Additionally, battery life remains a key feature of the Instinct range. The Instinct 3 AMOLED can last up to 24 days in watch mode. For those prioritising battery life, the Instinct 3 Solar is ideal, as it can last indefinitely in sunny conditions due to upgraded solar panels.

Other upgrades include dual-band GPS for more accurate outdoor activity tracking. The watches also feature all the sensors expected from a top Garmin watch, including a pulse oximeter and altimeter, and offer 24/7 health tracking plus smart features such as NFC payments.
