ChatGPT grappled with a severe outage which lasted for 30 minutes on November 9 (Saturday). Downdetector, a web outage tracking site, reported an outage by collecting reports from users, but fortunately, OpenAI has addressed the outage and it has been resolved now.
OpenAI stated, "Issues with ChatGPT have now been resolved. Access was restored to most users by 4:34pm PT; however, a particular number of users experienced an issue until 5pm.
Taking to X OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said: "We are much, much better at reliability than we used to be, but more work is in front of us."
ChatGPT acknowledged that something was wrong with its AI service at 7:13pm ET, affecting almost 19,403 users, as it came under the grip of a significant issue.
