In times when the competition involving artificial intelligence (AI) is packed with formidable contenders, not to mention the upcoming aspirants aiming to snag the baton of dominance, OpenAI's ChatGPT appears to have surpassed rivals fairly.

Citing OpenAI, VentureBeat reported that ChatGPT, the AI chatbot it launched in 2022, has more than 200 million active weekly users. This toll is double of what was reported by the company 10 months ago.

What sets ChatGPT apart from the rest is that it has reportedly been deployed by 92% of Fortune 500 firms, allowing them to cut time-constraint and repetitive tasks.

Although the number it is not certain how many enterprises are exactly using ChatGPT or other OpenAI tools such as Whisper or Codex or its APIs, it's been obvious that the AI player has strongly gripped corporate America in a very short amount of time.

As ChatGPT is closing in on its second anniversary in November, ChatGPT Enterprise recently celebrated its first anniversary.

AI industry experts and third-party analysts are of the view that ChatGPT is the fastest product in the history of technology to have crossed 100 million users back in February 2023, though OpenAI did not independently confirm those numbers.

OpenAI’s Go-to-Market (GTM) Team Lead of Financial Services & Insurance Adam Goldberg posted on LinkedIn to celebrate the ChatGPT Enterprise plan milestone.

“It’s officially been a year since we launched ChatGPT Enterprise, so we’re taking a moment to highlight how some of our amazing customers think about AI strategy," he wrote.
