Google is gearing up to roll out ChromeOS 127, a forthcoming update for Chromebook users, expected to arrive in the coming weeks. The Gallery app will allow users to easily delete or rearrange PDF pages using mouse or keyboard shortcuts, streamlining workflow.

Relatably, a new Portable Document Format (PDF) Optical Character Recognition (OCR) artificial intelligence (AI) reader in Gallery will utilise machine learning models to “extract, compartmentalise, and section PDF documents.”

Enabling reading for inaccessible documents, then filling the gap in accessibility for low vision and blind users that use a screen reader. ChromeOS 127 is set to launch the earlier announced Read aloud in Reading Mode. It sports high-quality text-to-speech with playback controls.

The video calling control panel is integrating status suggestions for Noise Cancellation, Live Captions, Relighting, and Blur. Relatably, “ChromeOS now supports call control buttons on compatible Bluetooth headsets,” like answering, ending, and rejecting calls, along with muting the microphone.

Whereas an update is offered for one of these devices, the users will be guided with step-by-step instructions.

Users can view this new feature when they login to a Chromebook with an account where they are enrolled in active courses in Google Classroom.
