COAS inaugurates Innovista Indus IT Park: A boost to Pakistan's IT sector

General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), recently visited the Karachi Corps area, where he was briefed on operational preparedness and key training initiatives undertaken by the Army. During his visit, COAS inaugurated Innovista Indus IT Park, a hub aimed at empowering Pakistan's youth by encouraging academia-industry collaboration in the field of Information Technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, and notable civil community members. Chief Minister Sindh emphasised the importance of the IT domain for optimal exploitation of youth potential and economic growth.

COAS highlighted that projects like Innovista Indus IT Park provide a conducive environment to promote the growth of the IT industry, which is already accelerating at a respectable pace.

COAS also interacted with the business community of Karachi, appreciating their contributions to the country's economic growth. Participants expressed confidence in the positive economic indicators and praised the Sindh Investment Fund Company (SIFC) for its role in achieving these indicators. 

The business community's efforts have been instrumental in driving economic growth, and COAS acknowledged their role in this regard.

The COAS commended the efforts of Federal and Provincial Governments in supporting initiatives and remarked that collective efforts have defeated those who sought to create despair and despondency. 

He emphasised that Pakistan has remarkable potential in various domains and urged stakeholders to have unflinching trust and confidence in the country's bright future.

COAS also appreciated the role of China, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE in Pakistan's economic recovery. These countries have provided significant support to Pakistan, helping to drive economic growth and stability. Their contributions have been invaluable, and COAS acknowledged their support.
