The world's biggest technology show, Computex, kicks off on June 4 in Taipei, Taiwan, and AI is expected to dominate the conversation. Top chipmakers — AMD, Intel, Nvidia, and Qualcomm — will showcase their latest processors, designed to handle AI workloads natively.

With AI at the forefront, we can expect many new products and technologies at Computex 2024 to advance native AI processing.

Here are a few announcements we can expect from the mega event.

Intel's Latest Lakes

Intel is set to announce more details about its next-generation processor platform, Lunar Lake, at Computex 2024.

Lunar Lake chips include a neural processing unit (NPU) to handle AI workloads natively, and Intel claims better performance than Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite.

Intel's keynote is scheduled for June 4, when we can expect them to make more announcements about the chips and their products.

AMD's Zen 5 and RDNA4

AMD will start Computex with a keynote address from CEO Lisa Su, where we expect to see exciting new products.

AMD's roadmap shows the upcoming Zen 5 architecture, which could be released in the second half of 2024. We may see Ryzen 9000-series processors built on this architecture and new graphics cards with GDDR7 video memory.

Nvidia's AI Momentum

Nvidia has become synonymous with AI, and its Computex keynote is expected to focus on the technology.

Nvidia may also announce new GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards based on Blackwell architecture, featuring GDDR7 memory. With AI at the forefront, Nvidia's keynote promises to be interesting.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon Splashes

Qualcomm's CEO, Cristiano Amon, will host a keynote event titled "The PC Reborn" where we expect to get a closer look at the new batch of Qualcomm-powered systems hitting the market.

With systems from top brands like Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Samsung, Qualcomm is making a big play for the upcoming laptop announcements.

AI Overdrive

While the AI movement was already a big deal at last year's Computex, Microsoft called it the "Age of the AI PC," hoping to see AI initiatives in the computing industry at the upcoming Computex 2024.
