In a series of unfavourable technological developments emerging on the scene, internet services across the globe are reportedly down.

Coming on the heels of the massive Microsoft outage which took the world by storm, this reportedly ongoing internet outage has engulfed almost all the major internet service providers around the world.

While the root cause for the disruption hasn't been identified, Eir internet was also down for the past couple of hours, as per some reports making waves on the internet.

Bangladesh internet down

Coinciding with the world outage, the internet services in Bangladesh were also down following various anti-government protests nationwide, as reported by local internet service providers.

"High impact to mobile networks", said NetBlocks, an internet outage monitor, while a Bangladeshi internet gatekeeper firm which also sells bandwidth to service providers claimed "broadband and mobile internet were shut down".
