Part of a harrowing development in the realm of social media platforms, X (formerly Twitter) was restored after undergoing a brief outage.

Citing the outage tracking website Downdetector.com, Reuters reported that the outage crippled the Elon Musk-owned microblogging platform on Tuesday night and lasted less than an hour.

Collecting user reports from various sources, the outage tracking platform at 11:46pm (ET) in the US showed barely 500 reports registered by users, however, the number of outage reports crossed past 36,500 after reaching its zenith at 11:18pm (ET).

On the other hand, in Canada and the UK, the peak-time toll of reports fell from more than 3,300 and 1,600 to below 100, from over 3,300 in Canada and 1,600 in the UK as of 11:20pm ET.

It should be noted although the social media platform has come to its stable state, the root cause of the service disruptions was not identified by the time of writing this.
