End of an era: Suzuki Bolan production discontinues in Pakistan

One of the highly popular cars “Carry Dabba” Suzuki Bolan in Pakistan has officially ended. Over a few years ago, several reports were constantly surfacing regarding its discontinuation, but now it has officially ended.

The news came under development after an incomplete image of the car started surfacing all around social media with a poster reading: “Bye Bye Y88V Bolan.” While talking to PakWheels, the company confirmed: “Yes, it was the last batch.”

What will replace Suzuki Bolan?

Suzuki Every is said to be a replacement for Suzuki Bolan, as the vehicle was under criticism for a long time because there were no significant modifications in its shape, comfort, and more. All the Pakistani consumers were anticipating the new replacement of Suzuki Bolan, as the vehicle had become obsolete and people were purchasing it because they were out of options before the release of Changan Karvaan.

Earlier in 2021, the vehicle was speculated to be discontinued after Lahore High Court’s verdict ordering the Engineering Development Board, for the implementation of airbags in all cars. However, all the rumours were refuted, following the launch of the AC variant in Suzuki Bolan which was discontinued after a short time. 

When will Suzuki Every launch?

Suzuki Every will be a new replacement for Suzuki Bolan, as the company unveiled the latest Every at a local launch in the last auto show in Lahore. However, the launch was postponed for several reasons and it was announced to launch in the mid-quarter of October 2024.
