Epic Games announces major XP boost in Fortnite

Epic Games integrated a major update to the rate at which Fortnite players earn XP, substantially boosting different values due to fan backlash following the release of Chapter 6 Season 1.

Fortnite's new Japanese-themed season began on December 1 with a lot of new gameplay updates and content, but fans were immediately to blast the studio's decision to nerf XP rates, resulting in numerous updates from Epic to address the complaint.

Fortnite receives major XP advancements

Fortnite has made various updates to XP rewards and bonuses, along with Daily Bonus Goal rewards increasing from 60,000 to 75,000 per day on December 4. Moreover, the studio fixed LEGO Fortnite's Quest XP, increasing the reward to 25,000 XP as it was previously only granting players a mere 700 XP.

Currently, as part of a new in-game adjustment on December 5, Epic has made even more updates to XP in Fortnite. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), on the official Fortnite Status account, Epic Games said that it increased the XP earned for "several common accolades in Battle Royale."

Additionally, the studio said it would continue to monitor XP to determine whether any further adjustments are deemed necessary.

However, Epic Games didn't reveal which Battle Royal accolades had been adjusted in the new update.

Meanwhile, according to the leaker HYPEX, eliminations will now grant 750 XP, up from 250, while surviving a storm circle has seen a massive boost from 250 to 2,000 XP. Fortnite also received numerous other adjustments were also made, such as opening a chest now granting 750 XP instead of 250, as well as opening a rare chest now giving 1,000 XP.
