The Fortnite Item Shop is always bustling with new items to grab, thanks to Epic Games' frequent updates. But what if you have second thoughts about a purchase? Is it possible to undo a Fortnite skin buy? Here's what you need to know about navigating refunds in Fortnite.

How to refund a skin in Fortnite

Fortnite employs a system called Return Tickets for refunds. Each account starts with three of these tickets, and you earn one more every 365 days, up to a maximum of three.

  1. Access the Main Menu: Start Fortnite and head to the main menu.
  2. Go to Settings and Support: Open settings and find the Support and Refunds section.
  3. Review Eligible Items: You'll see items eligible for a refund and your available Return Tickets.
  4. Select and Confirm: Pick the item you wish to return and follow the prompts.
  5. Receive V-Bucks: Your account gets credited with the V-Bucks value of the item. Generally, items can be returned within 30 days of purchase with a Return Ticket, and in-game cosmetic purchases can be cancelled within 24 hours if unused.

Limitations

Not everything in Fortnite can be refunded. While you can return cosmetic items like skins, emotes, and parachutes, items earned from events, challenges, or the Battle Pass are non-refundable.

The rule is simple: if it wasn't bought with V-Bucks or money, it's not eligible for a refund. You also can't refund the Battle Pass itself or convert V-Bucks back into real currency.

So, before you invest in that Battle Pass or splurge on V-Bucks, be sure of your choice because some purchases in Fortnite are final.
