Fortnite last year brought back its original island in a month-long event called Fortnite OG. It provides gamers with a chance to revisit the earliest versions of the game and get a chance for them to relive their nostalgia.

Gamespot reports that Fortnite OG might be returning permanently this time starting in December. It is said that the first 10 seasons of Fortnite collectively make up Chapter 1, therefore it can be returned every month and only OG loot will be supported.

Ever since the launch of Fortnite in 2023, more than 44.7 million users have logged in to play, which is easily marked as the most popular single day in the history of gaming. That kind of massive excitement from the fans is the cause of this decision to bring the Fortnite OG map back.

Fortnite's events rewards and more

These rumours remain unconfirmed by Epic Games, but speculation suggests this major reveal could be the grand finale of Fortnite's Remix on November 30.

Moreover, Fortnite's royale modes and Zero Build modes will be incorporated into the OG, and at the end of Chapter 2, rapper Eminem will return to the game. If the players are successful in defeating Eminem in a battle, then they will be rewarded with a new Mythic RG Minigun. New Chapter 6 of Fortnite is set to roll out on 1 December 2024, after the finale of the Remix event.
