Fortnite, the popular battle royale game, is considering a major change to its battle pass system. This is for the first time; certain battle pass items may become available in the item shop 18 months or more after their initial expiration.
What’s updated?
The proposed change in the Fortnite game would allow players to purchase several exclusive items including outfits, emotes, pickaxes, and other items from the previous battle passes, including those from popular collaborations like Marvel and Star Wars.
These will be inside the item shop, as alternate styles of certain items. This means that those missing out on items exclusively part of past battle passes will have another chance to avail them.

This Fortnite update would be a massive win for the players who have missed out on exclusive items from previous battle passes. Second, this allow players to get items from limited-time collaborations, often highly desired by collectors or enthusiasts.
Meanwhile, this change might decrease interest in third-party marketplaces and skin sellers frequently selling exclusives at inflated prices.

Moreover, the price of the battle pass is set to remain the same, at 950 V-Bucks, with the opportunity to earn up to 1,500 V-Bucks by levelling up. This results that players will still have the same opportunities to earn rewards and exclusive items through the battle pass system.
