Rumours suggest that has now been put on hold indefinitely. This, of course, doesn’t mean that the project has been axed completely, instead, the Company perhaps has other ideas in mind.

The current torchbearers of the slimmest foldables are, Honor Magic 3 and the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4. Samsung held a lead in the foldable market at some point in the past but lost it somewhere along the way. Now it's the Chinese innovators that are driving the market ahead.

Perhaps, Samsung is interested in other ventures or didn’t have the slimmest phone to show for it, but this is only applicable in case of the rumours being true.

For those In the space for innovation: the Z Fold 6 is a solid device but with its minimal updates fails to cross the finish line.
