After demand for the addition of a simple yet efficient tool clinched its doors, Gmail has decided to introduce a patch to fix this problem. Google says that it will be adding drag-and-drop support for contacts between different To, Cc, and Bcc fields.
The mailing platform has experienced many significant enhancements over the past few months, especially after the integration of Google Gemini brought its level of productivity to new horizons.
It also comes at a time when some of the essential features such as changing or swapping out email recipients between three basic fields — To, Cc, and Bcc — were far away from being ideal.
As has been a common case when we mess up with the Cc and Bcc fields, it is more convenient to just drag-and-drop them, rather than typing the whole thing on the loop. The feature preserves the contact which was already there, bringing it in line with users' desired field.
Additionally, this kind of problem might not occur among Gmail users, but no doubt it will be very convenient in some circumstances. However, this functionality does indeed make life much easier.
Besides this, it is not the only productivity from Gmail as it was observed that it has also added a chat app, which has slightly enhanced the search filters to sort results according to the recency and relevancy of the keywords.
It should be noted that this feature is limited to the Google One AI Premium plan and other enterprise/ education tier members.
