Google has been bringing feature additions to its Gmail app for Android and is now working to allow Android users to get access to the Workspace personalisation.

An APK teardown of the Gmail app version for Android 2024.08.25.668103139 brought to light a new option within the Gmail app's settings page that allows users to control Workspace personalisation options.

By tapping this option, it takes users to the Google Workspace personalisation page that contains two checkboxes including “Personalise across Google Workspace” and “Personalise other Google products.”

The first checkbox is about using your Workspace content for personalisation "across all Workspace products," including showing events in Gmail from Calendar, and providing smart search results.

However, the second checkbox asks permission to use your Workspace data for personalisation across other Google products such as Maps, Wallet, and Travel.

Although this new feature has been in development since last month, there is no confirmation when it will be released to Android users.

Further, Google also integrated Gemini in the Gmail app with a feature named Gmail Q&A for the Android app, previously limited to Gmail on the web. It allows users on Android devices to chat directly with Google’s artificial intelligence assistant about their emails in the app.
