Users of the Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2 will soon notice an upgraded charging on their watches as Google is rolling a new charging screen to its older wearables.
Originally unveiled with the Pixel Watch 3, this charging screen includes several subtle yet noteworthy enhancements.
Pixel Watch, Pixel Watch 2 getting new charging screen
The new charging screen on the Pixel Watch 3 shows a time-to-full estimate, which appears on the right side of the screen. Additionally, the new screen also displays a numeric value for the charge level of the device and the current time in the centre.

Earlier, Google eliminated the animated ring and introduced a more static progress ring. This is something that was missing in the older Pixel wearables.
With this upgrade, the time is now white rather than matching in colour to the progress ring. Meanwhile, the ring is green rather than blue colour.
Additionally, the new design also includes useful data, such as an estimate of how long the device needs to remain on the charger to be fully charged.
However, the day and date no longer appear at the bottom of the screen, instead appear on the left of the time while the month is displayed on the right.
While these changes are subtle it is still great to see older devices getting new features gradually.
