Google’s products have helped generate Rs2.6 trillion through the economic activity of Pakistani businesses in 2023. Pakistan’s small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) benefited significantly from Google by registering 58% growth, which amounts to Rs1.5tn.

Particularly, Google’s AI-powered products have contributed Rs249bn in export benefits for local businesses. This could strengthen Pakistan's global competitiveness.

In 2023, Google products enhanced the efficiency of access to information, benefiting household businesses as they generated up to Rs1.3tn, a 526% increase compared to 2020.

Since YouTube allowed Pakistani content creators to reach a global audience, their viewership has increased by 55%, enabling them to enter the global market and achieve monetisation.

Google Workspace has saved a lot of struggles that Pakistani users face by providing them with the facility of real-time collaboration and document sharing. Local mobile app developers got an opportunity to reach the international market through Google Play.

Digital exports have created economic growth opportunities for local Pakistanis, allowing Pakistan to emerge as a prominent player in the global digital economy by investing in digital skills and technology adoption.

Google is offering free digital skills training to support Pakistan's digital transformation and is fostering partnerships with public and private sectors to boost economic sustainability and workforce development.
