Circle to Search, a system-wide gesture that allows users to search for content on their phone's screen by simply circling it, is a powerful feature on Android that lets users easily find content on their phone's screen by simply circling it.

Google is expanding the availability of the feature and improving it with new capabilities, such as instant translation support. Now, the tech giant is working on adding barcode support to Circle to Search, making it even more useful.

However, the addition of barcode support will enable users to search for barcodes on web pages and photos they take. This feature is currently under development but is expected to be rolled out soon. Moreover, Google is also working on a feature to capture a portion of the screen and share it as a screenshot using Circle to search.

Although Circle to Search has been a hit feature among Android users, its limited availability is a major restriction. Currently, this feature is only available on select Samsung and Pixel devices, including the Galaxy S24 series, the Pixel 8 series, and other compatible Pixel devices.

However, Google is expected to announce its wider availability at I/O 2024, possibly bringing non-Samsung and non-Pixel devices.

In addition to barcode support and screenshot sharing, rumors suggest that Google is also working on other improvements to Circle to Search, such as the ability to search for content in apps and on the web. This feature will be even more powerful and useful for Android users.
