Google on Thursday, launched a number of small changes to its artificial intelligence platform, Gemini app, user interface (UI), as the latest change is set to be the dark theme on the web.
Instead of medium black or pretty dark grey, Gemini’s night-friendly look is light grey. Additionally, the side panel and search field received a lighter appearance.
The new colour theme is in line with Google Search's dark theme, which shouldn’t be surprising given how recent changes to the Gemini homepage have matched the sparse utilitarianism of Google.com.

The company confirmed that this change applies to every gemini.google.com surface, and you can view this mismatch in animations on the Extensions page that haven’t been updated.
