To make a piece of photos or videos look stunning, the Ultra HDR format cramps up an abundance of HDR metadata to ingrain it into images, this phenomenon ensures the vivid display of HDR pixel density on the screens supporting HDR. Meanwhile, devices lacking HDR support would display the images in SDR format.
Since HDR display is a premium property, it's not common in smartphones, which indicates only a few mobile brands offers the ability to capture in Ultra HDR.
Android 15 will release in October (expected)
While a spate of rumours previously suggested the imminent rollout of Android 15, a recent one points to the new Android update released in October 2024.
