Google rolled out its Gemini artificial intelligence (AI)-powered Vids app to select Google Workspace users, diversifying its ecosystem in AI. It mainly helps in script writing, integrating stock images and videos, generating background music, and more.
The newly introduced app consists of several other compelling features, such as allowing Gemini auto-insert stock footage for users, record video or audio of the user to incorporate into any of your video.
Furthermore, Google Vids lets you generate AI voice overs and claimed to turn customer support articles into videos. And substantially an ideal app to use for several purposes including professional and personal use, like generating training videos, sharing company announcements, and more.
It is important to note that Vids is unlike other AI-centric text-video creator tools, as it doesn’t generate a complete video from scratch. Meanwhile, it works as an assistant that compiles different parts of the video storyboard depending on the contextual understanding of the prompt.
Google Vids availability
Vids app will be available by default for Alphabet-owned Google’s Workspace users. However, the search engine giant slated the possible usage limits, which is likely to apply to features such as “Help me create” and AI voiceovers by 2026.
The app is currently accessible by Google Workspace accounts on the Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, Essentials, Enterprise Essentials and Enterprise Essentials Plus, and Education Plus tiers.
However, Workspace users engaged with the Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education or Education Premium add-ons will get its access soon.
