Google Maps, one of the most widely used apps on Android, is set to get an enormous increase by introducing features that blends the functions of the Waze app, which allows drivers to report accidents, traffic conditions, and other incidents.
These reported incidents from Google Maps and Waze communities would let drivers stay informed about forthcoming road conditions so they can expect them and take action.
What is the Waze app?
The Waze app is an extensively used app which allow drivers to identify road closures, speed traps, accidents, and other incidents on their journey.
These helpful alerts and notifications in Google Maps should let other drivers prepare alternative plans when there's an issue with how it’s done.
With the release of Google Maps for Android and iOS, along with CarPlay and Android Auto, drivers would be able to access on-screen options in the apps to make reports. The issue is that it technically includes a smidge of distraction while driving.

Currently, Waze uses a relatable interface for reporting incidents, and it appears to work well enough, but minimising distractions is always preferable.
One solution for this might be to include voice commands that allow drivers to do this hands-free, similar to how Google Assistant announces that it found a faster route that saves your time.
Meanwhile, Google Maps is also ready to receive other changes and upgrades to improve the experience. For example, Google Maps will now spotlight your destination’s building and entrance, so you’re not spending more time figuring out where to go after you’ve reached the address.
Additionally, Google Maps would help drivers by displaying nearby parking lots, which comes in handy if it’s an area you’re unfamiliar with.
