Google has introduced new features to let users find lower-carbon maps and searches on the occasion of Earth Day. The recent update is designed for electric vehicles and will let travellers find certain information regarding EV charging spots.

This feature is set to make it much simpler for the user to easily and effectively plan the charging stations for their road trips. The search icon will showcase the AI-generated navigation details about the station’s specific location.

This is not the very first time Google has introduced an AI feature to improve the user’s experience. Previously, the company has offered AI tools to help users enhance their travel experiences with better route planning.

As Earth Day is celebrated worldwide, to showcase support and awareness concerning environmental protection, Google has again set an example of sustainability by introducing a feature that will not only help EV drivers find essential information on charging stations for their journey but also host the users by guiding them to the exact locations of the stations.

Along with these updates, Google Maps is currently working on a new feature that will display the details that show the users' public transit or walking suggestions next to the driving routes. This update will soon roll out in the coming weeks and will be available in over fifteen cities around the world, including Paris, Rome, Sydney, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Montreal, and London.

Additionally, another new enhancement that has been launched for more than 38 countries is that more current information will be up-to-date about bus and train schedules, ticket prices, and links to book trips.
