Recently, Google introduced Gemini AI, a generative artificial intelligence chatbot to generate text based on user prompts, on its various apps. However, the search giant is now set to integrate it into its video-calling platform Google Meet.
Google’s new “take notes for me” feature promises to enhance productivity by automatically generating meeting notes and providing meeting summaries for the users.
The AI-powered tool will also note down all the key points discussed during the meeting and will create a document that can be accessed by all participants using Google Docs.

In this way, the tasks will be clearly defined and delegated as the feature can identify action items and assign them to the respective individuals.
If any user joins the Google Meeting late, the note-taker app will provide them with a proper summary of all the discussions that happened in the meeting.
Google announced that since the feature is launching soon it is now making it possible for admins such as the office's IT department, to configure their settings that will allow them to control who can get access to this tool.
However, only users with Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Education Premium, and AI Meetings will be able to access this “Take notes for me” feature.
The feature will initially only be available in English however, Google didn't mention when it will roll out for the public.
