Google will focus on developing Tensor G6, as chip is rumoured to power Pixel 11 series

Google Pixel smartphones are said to be equipped with Tensor chips that are developed to provide advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and tight integration with the company's exclusive software features.

However, the company's processors are also known to face thermal and efficiency issues, especially when compared with offerings from Qualcomm.

A report stated that Google will focus on developing the Tensor G6, as the chip is rumoured to power the Pixel 11 series, to solve issues related to efficiency and overheating.

According to a report of Android Authority, the company is aware of issues that impact its existing Pixel smartphone models. Thermal issues are the "#1 reason for Pixel returns" while "thermal comfort limits are too high.”

Earlier reports indicated that Google will start making its Tensor G5 chips, rumoured to power the successor to the Pixel 9 series, with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).
