Google Pixel 5a 5G Summary
Released in August of 2021, Google Pixel 5a 5G comes in an aluminium back and frame and glass front (Gorilla Glass 3). The device weighs 183g and is rated IP67 dust and water resistant. The phone has an OLED display, which can produce 1080 x 2400 pixels on a 6.34 inches screen. The always-on display also supports HDR visuals.
The Pixel 5a 5G comes with Android 11 out of the box, which can be upgraded to Android 14. The chip installed harbours Snapdragon 765G 5G processor that is paired with Adreno 620 GPU. The CPU boasts a max clock count of 2.4GHz. Unfortunately, there is only one option for RAM and storage: 6GB, 128GB, respectively, and there is no support for storage expansion.
The main camera at the back sports two lenses, one being a 12.2MP main lens, with dual-pixel PDAF and OIS enabled, and the other a 16MP ultrawide lens. Video recording can be done at 4K, 30/60fps and 1080p, 30-240fps, with help from gyro-EIS feature. The rear camera is complemented by LED flash, pixel shift, and auto-HDR capabilities. On the other hand, the front camera comprises only of a single lens with 8MP count and auto-HDR and 1080p, 30fps video recording.
The phone is powered by a 4,680mAh Li-Po battery that supports rapid 18W charging via USB Type-C cable. Other features of the phone include: fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer.
The Pixel 5a 5G is offered in one colour only: Mostly Black.
