A week ahead of the Google I/O developers conference, Google has launched another generation of its Pixel-A series. Pixel 8a series, this budget-friendly smartphone with several innovative AI features is making rounds among tech enthusiasts. 

The Google Pixel 8a smartphone differs from previous A-series models in terms of software support, as Google offers three Android updates and five years of security patches for the last Pixel 7A model, while the Pixel 8A variant will receive Android OS updates for seven years including security patches and Pixel Features Drops. 

This variant comes with several AI generative features including Best Take, Magic Editor, and Audio Magic Eraser. Along with the Circle to Search features, so that the users no longer have to switch apps to search for information, the Google Pixel 8a will run on Gemini Nano — Google's mobile-enhanced on-device AI model.

Additionally, the Pixel 8a also introduces the audio emoji feature, which allows users to be more expressive and engaging when making phone calls. The variant is designed and available in Obsidian, Porcelain, Bay and new Aloe colour options.

The Google Pixel 8 is powered by the powerful Google Tensor G3 chip and is equipped with a dual rear camera system of a 64-megapixel main lens and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens. 

This smartphone is packed with a 6.1-inch OLED display screen and with a bigger 4,492mAh battery It is available in two different configurations 128GB and 256GB storage.

The Google Pixel 8a is launched with enhanced features and is priced at $499 with pre-orders live. This smartphone will be available in stores from May 14th.
