Over the course of its Pixel phone history, Google has outshined rivals when it comes to software updates for its flagship Android smartphone, and the newly launched Pixel 9 Pro Fold seems not immune to this tradition.

Brand-new out of the box, it was launched with Android 14, the latest Android update till date.

Pixel 9 software updates

Pixel 9 Pro Fold is Google's latest foldable Pixel phone which comes with the same Tensor G4 chip and 16GB RAM as the Pixel 9 Pro, but that doesn't downgrade its clamshell competency.

The noteworthy thing is that it will get the same number of updates as the Google Pixel 9 Pro. Seven years of updates there will be.

The top-of-the-line, second foldable from Google will also receive security updates while relishing the latest versions of Android until August of 2031.

This means that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is not only a long-term secure investment but will also let users try the latest builds of Android updates, ensuring users don't miss out on the latest features and functionalities.
