The Alphabet-owned company, Google has finally launched its Pixel 9 series with some major upgrades including the use of a new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor similar to the one used in Samsung Galaxy devices.

Previously, the Pixel devices including the Pixel 8 series used an optical in-display fingerprint sensor that had several issues.

However, now with the Pixel 9 series launch, Google has equipped its devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon’s Sonic Gen 2 ultrasonic fingerprint scanner which is also used in the Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup.
