Pixel Buds Pro 2 is about to get a major upgrade that will surely take the user's experience to the next level. These sleek earbuds come with the latest technology called Auracast; it is the one that makes Bluetooth audio sharing a reality.

Developed on top of Bluetooth LE Audio, this new feature makes it possible for many devices to tune into one audio stream; this makes the way we enjoy music and podcasts undergo a whole transformation.

Auracast and Bluetooth LE audio

Auracast is designed to go beyond the limitations that traditional Bluetooth audio streaming. Currently, most devices can only transmit audio to one other device at a time.

Auracast standardises audio broadcasting, enabling devices to share audio with multiple listeners. It converts the device that initiated the audio stream into a mini radio tower, as it sends audio signals to any nearby Auracast-compatible devices.

Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 is just the best fit for Auracast. These earbuds support LE Audio, by which they can easily listen in on Auracast streams started by any other Bluetooth device.

Google hasn't rolled out the Auracast feature for its Pixel phones, but the Pixel Buds Pro 2 is already there to unlock it when Google is ready to roll it out.
